Alright, I know that you should not look at the right hand side of the menu card when you are at the so called ’hip’ places in town. I also know that its the subtle things that you pay for in places like these.

But its time we all know that this place is not all that great as it is made out to be. Some clever media manipulation must be going on from the owners’ side. IN termas of decor, service and food qualities; I would equate this Olives with any of the numerous ’Bar & Restaurants’ in Mumbai.

Decor and ambience: Nothing great! If a few candles means a Mediterranean setting for you, then its ok. For me it does not. The seating is very uncomfortable, and after 9PM the place gets extremely noisy.

Food: The worst food I have ever tasted. Add to it the ridiculous pricing, and you have the ultimate headache. The chicken dishes we ordered had only bones, no chicken. I guess they want us to explicitly specify that you want meat at the time of placing orders!

Drinks: You can’t really mess up with drinks, can you? I did not order their cocktails, stuck to old and trusted Teachers’.

Service: Bad. The waiters donot know half the menu items. After the place got crowded, the waiters literally disappearde. We actually had to CATCH hold of one to place our main course orders.

Note: They have 2 sections; just l;ike those shady bars & restaurants. AC and NON AC. The AC section’s ACs were not functioning well so most of us were sweating. God knows what happens if you sit in the non-AC section.
